John-phone.jpgJohn L. Gascot, Founder
This Boricua artist spent the first twelve years of his life in Puerto Rico, a fact to which he attributes his love of bold color. His educational and professional careers have been eclectic and fulfilling. With backgrounds in theater, the beauty industry and art, he has been afforded the opportunity to wear a multitude of hats, all of which influence his work.

John's work is currently represented by galleries throughout the continental United States, as well as Brussels, Belgium. His paintings can be found in numerous collections across the US and Europe, including those of fashion designer Betsey Johnson, Saturday Night Live/30 Rock writer/actor Tina Fey and everyone's favorite "Supermodel of the World", RuPaul.

Latin Pop Shop has been a dream of John’s for quite some time. In January 2010 he set his dream into motion by launching this site and devoting practically every waking moment to its development and growth. As an artist, he understands the frustrations and difficulties of finding fair representation and making a living in a creative field. With Latin Pop Shop, he takes these matters into his own hands, and vows to nurture and support Latino creativity and artistic expression.

Ron Diana, Co-Founder
When not busy helping John make his artistic and Latin Pop Shop dreams a reality, Ron is hard at work as the Director of Education and Manager for National Massage Therapy Institute’s (NMTI), Falls Church campus.

This is not Ron’s first art business venture. He co-founded and helped manage the A.P.A. Fine Art Gallery in Milford, PA some years back. A.P.A. represented over 30 artists and hosted numerous in-house and on-site events. He is glad for the opportunity to help support and represent creative individuals once again.

toni_200x245.jpgToni Bonitto Burwell, Web Goddess
Toni's Web Development career began in the late '90s. This native New Yorker with roots in
Spain has built and maintained hundreds of websites in a variety of industries, including: travel, finance, retail, entertainment, publishing, healthcare and non-profits around the continental U.S. and Puerto Rico.

A published poet as well, Toni's love for the arts encompases all forms; she is very proud to be
a part of Latin Pop Shop.

Bogart_200x235.jpgBogartHead of Security
Bogie, as this handsome 150-lb Saint Bernard rescue is affectionately known, keeps everybody in line. The mailman and UPS guy know not to dawdle when dropping off deliveries or picking up Latin Pop Shop orders to go out!

In his down time, Bogart loves to gallop, chase squirrels up trees and play with Lola.

We'd like to congratulate Bogart on his "sobriety;" he hasn't eaten a sofa cushion in the media room in almost a year!

Lola2_200x235.jpgLola, Entertainment
Lola keeps the party movin'! Lola's favorite game is Hide and Go Seek; if you leave a bagel (or anything edible, really) unattended, she will hide it from you (in her belly!). She also enjoys extreme sports like Furniture Climbing! When the mood strikes, this 50-lb daredevil Basset Hound rescue speeds off to perch on sofa arms, surmount the tops of tray tables and scale hassocks (well, try to...).

Lola loves the sound that kibble makes as it hits the floor (achieved by tipping over her bowl), spending quality time with her quacky [toy] ducks, tasty treats and belly rubs.

Lexie-ToyKilla_200x255.jpgLexie, Security Trainee
At only 18 pounds, Lexie's application for a security position was... put on the back burner—but this feisty little West Highland White Terrier still has aspirations of protecting the world; she practices her various attack moves on Cluck-Cluck the Chicken, Hippo (in photo) and Snake (and about 30 other 'evil' toys) daily. Lexie's take-charge bark keeps Toni safe from thunder and airplanes that fly too low while she helps maintain LatinPopShop.com and other sites.

Lexie loves snow, long walks, cheese and belly rubs.
